I was obsessed with death as a young boy. This crippling fear would attack again throughout my adult life, but it was a true blessing, because I've thought about death far more than most I would venture to guess.

So many people have well meaning friends and family that want to try and lecture them on the dangers of fasting, which is ironic, because a majority of the time, those well-meaning people don't have good health or good looking physiques.
Today, a long time client texted me a reel from IG that someone had sent her and she wanted to know how to deal with people that lecture her about fasting.
In today's episode, I give some of my views on the nutritionally indoctrinated and how to deal with them, if needed.

Last week was a whirlwind. I went out to Utah for a quick 36 hour trip to hang with my buddy and client, Nate Bailey. Nate wanted me to experience stem cell therapy and experience it I did!
Then, once I got home, I was off to a seminar for a few hours to learn from a legend in the strength and conditioning industry, Joe Kenn. In addition, I had the opportunity to hear Brian Koppelman, the creator of Billions, speak about success.
I am always learning and learning from experience in order so that I keep from dying too young. And, I am not talking about physically dying, I am talking about dying mentally and spiritually.

I often get the question about what I do on a vacation and what other's should do. While I can't tell you what you should do, because everyone is different, I do have a certain philosophy when I'm on vacation that allows me to enjoy myself to the fullest while still feeling great.

My streak of nearly 500 straight weeks nearly came to an end! But, I am delayed at the airport coming back from a family cruise and I dialed up a gem for you!
I found an old interview I did with my longtime Coach, now deceased, John Meadows. John aka Mountain Dog, was a legend in the bodybuilding world.
I was fortunate enough to learn directly from John, as well as have him featured in one of my earlier books, soon to be published for the masses (Anabolic Recharge).
John had a HUGE influence on my philosophies on nutrition and yes, even fasting, even though it wasn't something I was practicing at the time, nor did John ever talk about fasting. But, we did talk about insulin often.

Two weeks ago, silver hit an all-time high of $52+. I was pumped, but not surprised, because I have been buying silver for the better part of the past five years.
I know, all the money guys say it’s not an investment, but when something in the wealth world has gone up almost 300% in the past 5-6 years, I’d say they are wrong.
However, the point of today’s writing is not to give you financial advice, but to make you think about the world ‘investment’. If I asked you what the best investment of your life has been, what would you say?
Was it in building some aspect of your portfolio? Was it investing into your children, into your education, into your marriage? Or maybe it’s something else entirely.
When you examine what made it a great investment, what makes it stand out? What type of return did it give you?
I am here to tell you that there is no investment in this world that will have a bigger payoff than investing into your health and fitness. None, nada, zilch!
Are you the type that continues to wish you could get your weight and health in order? Yet, when you look at your track record, you are spending more per month on your cell phone bill than you do on your health?
Most people keep putting this crucial investment off because it has not risen to the level of urgency yet.
What other thing could you invest in that will give you:
-A longer life?
-Make you literally harder to kill?
-A better quality of life?
-More strength?
-A more attractive body?
-Better energy?
-More confidence?
I’ll let you sit on that, but I can tell you right now that no matter how long you rack your brain, you won’t be able to come up with one that can match these potential ROIs.

Over the weekend, I was talking with Devon about our sons, Braxton and Colty. They are both very good athletes with a lot of potential.
And being that I have a unique background in the field of athletics, I was pointing out a few anomolies on Braxton that most people would never even notice.
Running with that idea, I thought I would share with you, today, what we can take from the example of Braxton and apply to our own health and strength to give us a better shot and living a quality life, longer.

Begin with the assumption that cutting calories is the way to go when it comes to your weight and health...
Then destroy that assumption.
In this episode, I lay out why that path is perhaps the worst idea that is still rampant in health and fitness. If you gave most fit pros truth serum, they'd tell you the same thing. They don't tell you because there is a huge lack of expertise when it comes to proper eating and nutrition.
They only know calories and macros and when that fails, well then, it must be your fault. You didn't have enough will power or discipline.
Sure, that's gotta be the reason so many people fail at caloric deficit diets, the way they are currently structured.

Your health and wellness is too important to just blindly follow the 'science'.
You must use observation, real world experience and intuition to find out what works for you.
The science has been laid out for us when it comes to health, yet we are over 50% obesity as a population.
Science tells you it's all about calories in and calories out, yet that fails 99% of the time. Where is the 'science' when it comes to the results? Crickets.
Did you ever stop to think about who is funding the studies?
Usually, the more highly educated in the formal sense a person is, the more indoctrinated they and they don't even realize it. They are parrots, repeating what was told to them and you're damned if you don't believe them or if you ask them a question.
Keep an open mind, empty your cup and remember, belief is enemy of knowing.

Last week I got to sit down with Anthony and Tereza Lolli of Biohack Yourself Media. They have 5 big documentaries out on Prime, including one that I just started called The Guru.

Technical issue is NOW fixed
Energy is very misunderstood when it comes to the human body and how your body produces it.
Specifically, people want to know how to burn energy, i.e.-body fat.
For most in the field, it's a complete mystery, so they always resort to one type of energy, calories.

When I was 7, I internalized death for the first time.
I was terrified!

You are being lied to.
When it comes to your health and fitness.
Not intentionally, at least in most cases, but mainly by the ignoramus known as the Fake Fitness Experts.
They are fed propoganda and because their god with a little g, of science, tells them it's so, they start spewing it to anyone that will listen.
When it comes down to it, if you really press them, they will refer to self results and experiences. Most of the times, these FFE are born with a good body or they are highly enhanced.
