In this episode, I am back with my good friend, Brandon Kelly. In this episode, we discuss hitting the reset button in your life, fasting and turning 40. Enjoy the episode!
Be tough like silk. Doesn't seem to make sense on the surface. But then again, neither does the fact that life is most magical on the thin border between order and chaos. In today's episode, I dive into some of these concepts, taken from Jordan Peterson's book, 12 Rules for Life. Enjoy!
Daryn is a long time friend of mine. I reached out to him to start a series of discussions about getting to the root of the problem when it comes to issues that seem to repeat themselves amongst those that come from tougher childhoods, regardless of race. One of the main things is building trust amongst ourselves, rather than division, so we can give a helping hand up, rather than a hand out.
Take a 'fly on the wall' listen to my conversation with Brandon. This is how we rap off camera and this is what you'll see as more episodes of the two of us discussing concepts like less is more, roll out. Enjoy and share if you liked it!
In today's episode, I talk about the division that has come about since the tragic George Floyd incident. Two of my friends and staff members, Aliyah and Peaches, asked to have an open dialogue with me a few weeks ago and this was the result of that conversation. Remember, questions provide clarity, clarity is the only way we can move forward. Enjoy!
In today's episode, I break down the 4 chemicals of a happy brain, goal setting and the only true path to happiness. You may have to listen twice, but learning about your brain is one of the greatest ways to achieve your highest potential that there is!
In today's episode, I address the haters, including:
-Passive aggressiveness
-the 25% of people that love you
-Fake fitness pros not thinking fitness is essential
-15 minutes of fame
-Time and attention
Sometimes we need to hit the pause button.
In today’s episode, I encourage you to take a deep breath with me and observe.
Breathing is key to being present.
Being present is the key to living.
Today's episode was created from a place of love. I know in my heart what the correct course of action is at this point. It's time for those that are ready to move forward. But to do that, we need to understand the real fear. At this point, for most, it's not about fear of the virus; it's about fear of repercussions, fear of consequences and fear of judgment. In the meantime, the world is rapidly changing for the future of our children. Enjoy the episode!
In today's episode, I explore the concept of leaders asking questions. Leaders do not settle for the mainstream narrative when their gut tells them otherwise. Might they be wrong? Yes, of course, but they explore the possible angles. Enjoy!
In today's episode, I sit down with Dax Moy, the creator of Mind Map. He has had more of an impact on my Coaching career than anyone out there. Today's episode is pure gold and you'll need to have a notepad and pen ready to go. Enjoy!
In this continuation, I explore the numbers and ask you to just start asking more questions. What if the opposite of what you currently believe is true? And yes, that goes for anything in life. This is called 'emptying your cup'. Enjoy!
This is by far the most outspoken and passionate I've been on Unlocking Your Inner Strength; but I could no longer let the sheep run the narrative. Enjoy and disagree if you'd like, it's all good:) Start living through this situation with faith and not fear.
One of the big lessons I talked about last week was that we must become more aware of training our mindset.
In today’s episode, I talk about 4 inner beliefs that I live by. Ponder these and meditate on them, turn them into your strengths.
Remember, everything starts with your inner dialogue.
Here are 5 big takeaways thus far from this Corona situation:
-We need to focus on our health moving forward
-Your relationships. Do not take them for granted and find ways to grow them during these chaotic times.
-The downtime you have right now, enjoy it! Don't wish it by!
-An emergency fund. It's something you need for times like these that'll give you peace of mind. Find out why.
-Train your mindset. Mindset is what will make you rise to the top. If you wait until you are in the weeds, it's too late. You must always be training your mindset!
Fear is a survival response. In order to deal with fear, we need to understand it and define it.
In this lesson, I go over some simple things you can do to put your fear to rest.
We need clarity now more than ever.
3 things that lead to a threat response in our brain are
-too fast
-too slow
-lack of clarity
All three are present with the pandemic. Here's how you can deal with it.
Your brain will give energy to wherever your attention goes.
Therefore, you must be asking it the right questions during this time and putting the power of the open loop to your advantage.
In this lesson, I explain just how you can do that:) Enjoy!
As humans, we crave patterns, which is even more important right now. When routine is lost, it is easy to get into bad habits.
With week 2 of the Corona upon us, we need to address this coming week with discipline.
Also, in this video, I discuss the concept of slowing down and speeding up, depending on where you are feeling threatened right now.
Enjoy and ask questions!
✅Get your D3 in, we recommend either 10,000 IU/day or between 30,000-50,000IU Twice per week
✅Get your vitamin A in. It acts as a protective shell to your cells, making it harder for things like a virus to penetrate
✅Sleep! Nothing will boost your immune strength like sleep and nothing will tear it down faster than not sleeping enough!
✅Fasting! Fasting allows the immune cells of the body to do their job without interference. There's a reason your appetite goes way down when you get a bad cold or a flu, your body is talking to you:)
✅Laughing and walking. Both of these lower stress hormones. Stress hormones weaken the immune system
Most people are unaware of these simple facts about relationships, but once they become more self-aware, their whole outlook on each and every relationship in their life will transform.
In today's episode of Unlocking Your Inner Strength:
-The 4 levers of a relationship
-The concept that every single relationship you have will one day come to an end
-The anterior cingulate cortex and its role as the key player in every single relationship
-How to have clarity conversations so each and every relationship bears fruit and brings meaning to your life
Enjoy!
I created the Panda diet after years and years of research and experimentation.
And while I can dive deep into the topic, the point is that it is supposed to be super simple.
Yup, I incorporated all the principles of Mind Map into this approach.
Take a listen to today’s episode to find out how and why. Enjoy!
I am a BIG believer in morning routines, and just as big a believer in night time routines.
In life, it's the simple, monotonous tasks that require discipline that will take us to the winner's circle.
I will discuss just that in today’s episode, enjoy!
In life, you can transform when you have consistent attention placed on the area you wish to change.
But the only way you can hold that attention is if you have strong intentions infused with emotions. What is your reason ‘WHY’?
Once you have that figured out, you can then repeat, repeat, repeat until it becomes embedded in your brain.
One thing to remember with habits is that the simple equation is: small + fun = transformation.
Enjoy!
The Panda Diet book is set to be completed by early March and I am excited to share my world-class knowledge on fasting with the world.
And I couldn’t have done it without practicing daily discipline and persistence.
In life, discipline leads to more freedom, not less of it, despite what the masses would have believed.
If you practice showing up daily and putting one foot in front of the other, then success will meet you along the way. Persistence is a skill, which means it can be learned.
Enjoy and put it to use!
